The Power of Executive Sponsorship

The success of an employee survey often hinges on the details, and one that’s frequently overlooked is the presence of an executive sponsor. While HR can certainly plan and execute a survey effectively, having a committed and engaged executive sponsor adds a level of visibility, credibility, and influence that should not be underestimated.

Participation

The endorsement of an executive sponsor often drives stronger communication from management, creating a greater sense of urgency among employees to participate.

Strategic Alignment

An executive sponsor can help align the survey with broader organizational goals. This elevates the survey from basic feedback into a tool that supports key organizational initiatives.

Accountability

Acting on your survey data is key. An executive sponsor can drive accountability, ensuring the organization is responding to employee feedback. They can also help secure the resources needed to drive change and sustain momentum.

Credibility

When an executive sponsor champions a survey, it not only lends credibility to the process but also signals to employees that leadership values their feedback, a crucial factor, as employee perceptions of executive leadership are often key drivers of engagement.

An engaged executive sponsor can be your secret weapon when running an employee survey. Their support ensures that employees are not only heard but that their feedback is acted upon and used to drive meaningful change across the organization.

Name: Eric Micka

Title: Client Success Manager

Homebase: Bluffton, South Carolina ("Heart of the Lowcountry")

What do you like to do outside of work?

Spend time with my amazing family. Originally from Colorado, we enjoy getting outdoors as much as possible to hike, bike, kayak, fish…you name it! We recently moved to South Carolina and have settled in taking advantage of everything that coastal living has to offer!

What is your favorite vacation spot?

To be determined. 😊 Prior to moving to South Carolina, Hilton Head was our favorite spot to vacation and kick off our summer with the kids. Now that we live in the area, we’ve been busy exploring new spots in search of our new favorite.

What is your “key driver” in doing what you do?

Helping ensure our clients achieve success in turning valuable feedback into meaningful change for their respective organizations, and taking pride in providing an effective and efficient client experience, setting the stage for our clients to achieve that success.
