Gathering Additional Insights Post Survey

When analyzing data from an employee survey, it's common to uncover opportunities that require additional or clarifying information. For example, you might identify communication as an area for improvement but need more feedback to determine how to address the issue. Similarly, employees may voice dissatisfaction with benefits, but not provide the specifics needed to make adjustments. Below are a few options to gather the information needed to effectively take action on your data.

  • Follow-Up Survey: Use the People Element platform to distribute a targeted follow-up survey. This is an easy way to reach a small or broad audience for more detailed feedback. You can tailor the length and structure of the survey, typically including more open-ended questions to capture in-depth responses on specific topics.
  • Focus Groups: Gather a diverse group of employees for in-depth interviews to gain deeper insight into survey results. This approach allows employees to provide additional context, while giving you the opportunity to ask follow-up questions and explore specific concerns in real time.
  • Adjust Future Surveys: Once you’ve identified an opportunity that requires more details, be sure to adjust future surveys accordingly. For instance, if interdepartmental communication is a persisting opportunity, consider adding an open-ended question to your surveys asking for specific suggestions for improvement.

Recognizing an opportunity and seeking additional information is a natural part of an employee listening strategy. However, following through to obtain that information shows employees that their feedback is not only heard, but taken seriously.

Happy Holidays from PE!

From People Element (4)-1

At People Element we know how important it is to build and maintain connection among coworkers. Like many of our clients, this became more important than ever during the pandemic as remote work became more prevalent. Last year, we found a way to stay connected, get into the holiday spirit, and give back to our communities all at once by creating a holiday bingo game! It was such a sensation, we’re doing it again this year, where each square represents an activity, for example, an act of kindness, making a holiday craft, or expressing gratitude to a coworker, and bingos and blackouts result in donations to charities!

Above is a collage of some of the crafts, activities, and holiday selfies submitted thus far. Not only is this a fun and engaging activity for our team, but it is also for a good cause!

Stay tuned for a holiday fun recap in our January newsletter…until then, we’re wishing you a happy holiday season with family and friends and thank you for being a valued partner of People Element.
