A 360 assessment can be a powerful tool for manager development. However, its real value lies in what happens after data collection. Here’s how to follow up effectively on your manager 360 to drive action and growth.
Share Individual Reports
Once data collection is finished, you’ll need to share the 360 Individual Reports with each manager/subject. The report can be pulled directly from the platform and distributed as needed or you can automate the distribution of the report using the Action Coach in survey settings.
Meeting with Supervisor
Subjects should share their individual report with their direct supervisor and schedule time to meet with them to review their results. This one-on-one discussion often prompts questions and provides an opportunity for clarification. Supervisors can also help reinforce strengths and identify areas for improvement.
Coaching/Debrief
When possible, a trained coach or HR professional should walk the subject through their 360 feedback. This helps interpret the data objectively, highlights key themes, and prevents misinterpretation. It also helps the subject narrow their focus and determine areas to target for action planning.
Regular Check-Ins
Improvement will take time and it’s important to keep your subjects on track. Set regular check-ins to review action planning progress, adjust strategies, and provide support. You may also automate a series of coaching emails to be distributed at various dates once data collection is closed.
Review Group Trends
When multiple managers have completed the 360 assessment, consider taking the opportunity to review group-level results. Identifying common strengths and areas for development can inform training initiatives and broader organizational strategy. Sharing these findings with the team can also foster collective growth, alignment, and continuous improvement.

What is your favorite vacation spot?
Costa Rica. The offshore fishing is great, tons of wildlife to see in the jungle, and the pineapple is perfectly sweet.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Spend time with family and friends – mainly outdoors, wade fishing all along the Texas Coast. We are fairly serious about fishing in our household and enjoy competing in tournaments amongst some of the best anglers on the coast. When I’m not on the water, I like to take time to focus on my health and lift weights, or watch my son take care of our 7 chickens.
What is your “key driver” in doing what you do?
I believe it’s important for companies to gain an insightful perspective to their organizations and to act on new discoveries to make a difference within their workforce. It’s incredibly valuable to provide a channel of direct support within the platform that helps our clients/users succeed through navigating the platform, understanding the feedback collected, and utilizing some of the best practices to get the most valuable data for their organization. Delivering quick responses gives our clients more time to act on opportunities.
