Curious about the differences between onboarding and new hire surveys and deciding when to employ each? We’re here to help!
While both gather valuable feedback from your new employees, onboarding surveys specifically focus on the onboarding process, while new hire surveys capture broader experiences and impressions of being a new member of your company:
Onboarding surveys gather feedback on the effectiveness of the onboarding process, including training sessions, orientation, and the overall experience of joining your company. These surveys are administered during or at the conclusion of the onboarding process, usually within the first few weeks of employment.
New hire surveys typically focus on the overall experience of being a new employee, including impressions of the company culture, job responsibilities, and expectations. New hire surveys are often conducted after a specific period of time has passed since the employee's start date, such as 30, 60, 90, or 120 days post-hire.
Fun Fact: I once auditioned for a Country Music show called “Be A Star” hosted by Charlie Daniels
What do you like to do outside of work?
I am a proud mother of 3 young adults and two very spoiled cats. Just recently added a new son-in-law to the mix. Between myself and my kids, we own 6 cats. I guess you can say we are all a bit “cat crazy”! I am a Huge DUKE fan! I am an avid walker. I try to walk at least 6-8 miles a day listening to my favorite tunes, a podcast or of course catching up with family and friends on a phone call. Beach walks are the best! You will also find me hooked to the TV during shows like The Voice, American Idol, and America’s Got Talent. I love to sing, especially Patsy Cline songs for karaoke. Mention a concert or a music festival and I am there! I also love to travel. My suitcase is always waiting for the next place to go!
What is your “key driver” in doing what you do?
